No injuries in local two-car crash

No one was injured in a two-car crash that caused an estimated $6,500 in damage according to the Jamestown Police Department.

No one was injured in a two-car crash that caused an estimated $6,500 in damage according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The crash happened around 5:10 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 10th Street Northeast.

Paul Upton, 57, 802 17th St. NE, was driving a 2001 Ford northbound on the 900 block of Fifth Avenue.

Sarahanne Rhoad, 45, 411 Second Ave. NW, was driving a 1998 Cadillac passenger car westbound on the 500 block of 10th Street.

Rhoad stopped at the intersection and began a left turn.

She said she did not see Upton because of traffic blocking the view.

Upton struck Rhoad.

No injuries were reported and both drivers wear wearing seat belts.

There was an estimated $3,500 in damage to the Cadillac and $3,000 in damage to the Ford.

Rhoad was cited for failure to yield after stopping.
