The former Jamestown High School standout, competing in her first season with the Jimmies after beginning her career at NDSU, placed first out of five at the Cobber Pentathlon on Friday night.
Iverson’s dominant performance in the 800 was the key as her time of 2:36.37 was 20 seconds better than anybody else.
“She left a lot of room for improvement, but certainly did a lot of good things,” said JC coach Jim Clark.
Iverson also won the long jump (15-11.50) en route to a total of 2,762 points. Runner-up Kaari Jensen of Concordia was second at 2,693.
Iverson was third in the 60 hurdles (10.13) and shot put (29-1.25) and fourth in the high jump (4-6).
The full JC teams are in action today at the Cobber Open.
