BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — Montana State guard Christian Moon shares the Big Sky Conference men's basketball player of the week honor with Northern Arizona guard Gabe Rogers.
Moon, a senior from Inkster, Mich., averaged 17.3 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game as Montana State won three conference games. Moon tallied 24 points and five rebounds in a 76-68 win over Southern Utah. He had 16 points and made all eight free throws Thursday as the Bobcats handed Weber State is first league loss, 76-74. He added 12 points, five rebounds and three assist in a 61-59 overtime win over Idaho State on Saturday.
Rogers, a senior from Houston, averaged 31.5 points per game as Northern Arizona split a pair of close games. NAU beat Northern Colorado 67-65 and fell 81-79 to North Dakota despite 35 points from Rogers.
