Council meets on water issue

The Jamestown City Council authorized corresponding with Stutsman Rural Water District concerning the territorial dispute between the two organizations during a special meeting Monday.
The dispute involves which utility would serve the area near Jamestown Regional Medical Center including the Titan Machinery building now under construction.
The topic of the correspondence was not discussed during the open portion of the meeting. The City Council met for one hour and 15 minutes in executive session to discuss the topic.
Mayor Katie Andersen said she expected to hold another joint meeting with Stutsman Rural Water on Thursday although the time and location had not been determined.
