Realtors donate to four organizations
The Jamestown Board of Realtors held its annual Charity Christmas Auction in December with four local charities selected to receive a donation on behalf of local board. The board donated $830 to each. Receiving the funds were the Salvation Army, Safe Shelter, James River Senior Center and Buffalo Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Accepting the donations were Lt.?Mitch Brecto, Salvation Army; Beth Dewald, Buffalo Valley Chapter, American Red Cross; Dana Mickelson, Safe Shelter, and Laurie McGuire and Rhon da Sahr,?James River Senior Center.
The Jamestown Board of Realtors is made up of 59 members consisting of Realtors, lenders, appraisers and inspectors. Each holiday season during the board’s annual Christmas event, a live and silent auction is held with money raised donated to local charities.
“The charity auction is a great way for us to give back to the community,” said Alison Schumann, president, Jamestown Board of Realtors. “Over the years the auction has seen some unique and interesting items. It’s a great thing to see the members of this board come together for one night with the idea of helping make a difference.”
