In smaller communities, SCDRC offers technical assistance, writes grants and administers grants. It works with the U.S.?Department of Housing and Urban Development in smaller communities. SCDRC has been helping many smaller communities start their plans. It also has loan programs to provide accessible, flexible loans to strengthen, create or assist businesses and job oportunities. The Small Business Development Center’s mission is to provide high quality business assistance in the form of counseling, training and research to existing and prospective small businesses which results in job creation or retention and economic wealth.
