BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — The brother of a North Dakota man sentenced to life in prison for killing their mother has called the sentence appropriate and says his brother will not be able to hurt anybody else.
Dale Grenstiner is the son of Ann Grenstiner, who was found slain in her home last March. Another son, Dean Grenstiner, was sentenced Monday to life in prison with the possibility of parole for killing Ann Grenstiner.
Dale Grenstiner tells The Bismarck Tribune (http://bit.ly/127l6PC) that his brother has mental health issues. He says his mother tried to get him help, but that Dean Grenstiner thought she was picking on him.
Dale Grenstiner is a police officer in Connecticut. He thanked the Bismarck Police Department for keeping him informed following his mother's death.
