Youth skills winners cited

The annual Tr-Star Optimist Skills Competition was held Jan. 21 at Wilson Arena. Boys and Girls ages 7-14 competed against each other in skating, stick handling and shooting events.

The annual Tr-Star Optimist Skills Competition was held Jan. 21 at Wilson Arena.

Boys and Girls ages 7-14 competed against each other in skating, stick handling and shooting events.

Their points were totaled, and winners for each age group were determined.

The event was planned by the youth hockey “Grow The Game” committee, and was sponsored by the local Optimist Club.

The top finishers were recognized for their achievements after the first period of the Blue Jays’ game against Minot on Tuesday.
