JVC defeated East Grand Forks 4-2 in the opener as Nick Muncy scored two goals. Hunter Best and Koby Donovan also tallied. Gage Thompson, Levi Donegan-Wahl and Hunter Best got assists. Zach Hanson had 16 saves in goal.
Thompson had a hat trick and Muncy and Seth Lind had two goals each as JVC routed Moorhead 13-1 in its second game. Connor Grosgebauer, Dawson Dietrich, Best, Donegan-Wahl, Chris Hare and Donovan scored. Assists went to Lind (3), Grosgebauer (2), Lind (2), Dietrich, Best, Hare, Kelton Beedy, Donovan and Muncy. Hanson faced just eight shots in goal.
Lind, Alex Gums and Donovan each had two goals in the next game, a 10-0 win over Minot. Best, Grosgebauer, Donegan-Wahl and Muncy got into the scoring act. Lind (3), Dietrich (2), Thompson, Alex Bennett, Best and Grosgebauer got assists. Hanson had 17 saves.
In the championship game, Grosgebauer and Lind each had two goals. Lind also had two assists. Best also had a goal. Hanson stopped 11 of 12 shots.
