Eventide at Hi-Acres will hold two informational meetings at its Jamestown campus to provide further detail on the plans for campus improvements and expansion.
Meetings are scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 8. Eventide at Hi-Acres is located at 1300 Second Place NE. Hi-Acres staff, resident families, neighbors and community members are encouraged to attend. Eventide leadership and project architect will be available to answer questions, with project details and exterior elevations available for review.
Eventide’s request for a zoning change to two lots it had purchased adjacent to its facility in a residential neighborhood has been protested by those living in the area. The issue was tabled by the Jamestown Planning and Zoning Committee pending meetings with area residents.
Hi-Acres Manor opened in 1962, and includes 142 skilled nursing and short-term therapy beds, and a special care unit for those with Alzheimer’s and related dementia. Eventide purchased Hi-Acres in 2010. A five-year expansion plan at Hi-Acres includes constructing 30 assisted living units and renovating the current skilled nursing facility.
“We’re here to support the Jamestown community and surrounding area in serving the needs of our senior population, both today and in the future,” said Doug Panchot, executive director at Eventide at Hi-Acres. “Completion of this project will further our mission of service through additional housing and care options, with the quality, amenities and accessibility that today’s seniors look for. Hi-Acres is poised to be a statewide leader in providing enhanced senior services.”
Eventide Senior Living Communities is a faith-based, non-profit senior health care system headquartered in Moorhead, Minn., where it operates two campuses. North Dakota locations include West Fargo and Jamestown. Eventide serves 850 residents at its four locations and has 900 full- and part-time employees.
