Souper Bowl event set at Immanuel

The “Souper Bowl of Caring” is planned for Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1403 Ninth Ave. SE. Soup kettles will be made available in which to place donations of cans of soup and non-perishable food items, as well as monetary contributions.

The “Souper Bowl of Caring” is planned for Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1403 Ninth Ave. SE. Soup kettles will be made available in which to place donations of cans of soup and non-perishable food items, as well as monetary contributions.

Sponsored by the Global Mission/Outreach Committee, all “Souper Bowl of Caring” contributions received during this Super Bowl Sunday will be donated to the Salvation Army.

A Holy Communion service will also be observed at 10:30 a.m., led by Assistant Wendell Kopperud.

Immanuel Lutheran Church is located next to Gardenette Housing in southeast Jamestown and the building is accessible with no steps for the physically challenged. The congregation of Immanuel invites the public to worship with them.
