Jimmies’ Iverson fourth at NDSU Pentathlon

Jamestown College’s Nikki Iverson placed fourth out of eight at the NDSU Pentathlon Friday at the Bison Sports Arena.

Jamestown College’s Nikki Iverson placed fourth out of eight at the NDSU Pentathlon Friday at the Bison Sports Arena.

Iverson, a junior from Jamestown, was competing in just her second multi-event. She won her debut last week at Concordia.

Iverson was competing against only Division I competition with five Bison athletes and two from UND.

Iverson finished with a total of 2,807 points, 45 better than the previous week. She got a boost from her improved 800-meter time (2:31.90).

Elsewhere, Iverson was third in the shot put (28-4.50), fourth in the long jump (15-11), fifth in the 60 hurdles (10.02) and seventh in the high jump (4-5.50). Her

The overall winner, Ashley Heinze of NDSU, had 3,349 points. Emily Stalpes was second with 3,249 and Bison teammate Twila Moser third (3,178).
