Jays place second at Fargo meet

Alex Lind placed second overall and Erin Hillerud was fifth to help Jamestown to a runner-up finish at the Eagle Invite on Friday night.

Lind’s 36.450, which included a winning 9.25 on bars, was behind only Faith Marty of Fargo’s 36.850. Lind also was second on floor with a 9.2.

Overall, Jamestown’s 170.925 trailed only Fargo’s 174.55 at the top in the seven-team meet. The Blue Jays finished ahead of third-place Moorhead (169.025) and the rest of the East Region teams.

The Blue Jays’ had three scores of 8.975 on vault. Lind led at 9.2. Jenna Stilwell was sixth (9.075) and Hillerud ninth (8.975).

Stilwell was 11th in the all around at 33.4.

The Blue Jays have one more home meet left and it comes Thursday at 5 p.m.
