Class B roundup: Ellendale breezes by BCN to clinch D5 top seed

Madilyn Bommersbach splashed home four 3-pointers en route to a 23-point night as Ellendale sewed up the No. 1 seed in District 5 with a 61-35 win over Barnes County North in Class B girls basketball action on Friday night.

Madilyn Bommersbach splashed home four 3-pointers en route to a 23-point night as Ellendale sewed up the No. 1 seed in District 5 with a 61-35 win over Barnes County North in Class B girls basketball action on Friday night.

Isabell Wedell added 12 points for the Cardinals, while Dacey Fuller and Kristen Rall hit for 11 each. Fuller drained three 3s.

Abby Undem and Sam Wieland had 10 points apiece for the Bison.

Brady?Thielges had 12 of his game-high 25 points in the first quarter in the win. Jared Meiklejohn and Anthony Olson each added 11 for the Loboes, who led 35-26 at halftime.

The Rebels, who lost senior Jordan Nitschke to a season-ending injury in?January, were led by freshman Conner Entzi’s 12 points.?Tallen Berg had 10.
