The 15th-ranked Jimmie women had one dominant half and a mediocre 20 minutes with the end result being another road win.
Three days after blowing out Valley City State on the road, Jamestown College led Dakota State 44-21 in the first half en route to an 82-70 win over the Trojans in Madison, S.D.
Four Jimmie women scored in double figures in a typically balanced performance.
Kayla Roemmich and Carly Jensen each had 14 points in the win. Hannah Steele had another strong performance. She scored 11 points and passed out 12 assists. Megan Pold added 12 points off the bench.
Dakota State did hang around in the second half thanks to a 49-point outburst. It’s not like the Jimmies were poor offensively, however, scoring 38 of their own.
The Jimmies, who improved to 21-4, appear to be putting it together at the right time.
They’ve won seven of their last eight games with another showdown with 24th-ranked Valley City State looming Wednesday night, this time at the Civic Center.

A rough second half did in the Jimmie men.
Jamestown College led 36-34 after a back and forth opening 20 minutes, but they struggled over the final 20 minutes.
After shooting a strong 50 percent in the first half (14-for-28), the Jimmies made just seven of their 25 second-half tries.
Dakota State, meanwhile, hung 40 points on the board to pull away.
Breshion Tucker led the Jimmies with 14 points and three assists. Mark Hoge and Davon Thomas each had 12 and 11, respectively, but both went 4-for-14 from the field.
Tyrone Gordon Jr. and Luke Lamb each had 14 points for the Trojans.
