GF police arrest hit and run suspect

GRAND FORKS (AP) — Grand Forks police say they have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run case outside a south end motel.

GRAND FORKS (AP) — Grand Forks police say they have arrested a suspect in a hit-and-run case outside a south end motel.

The Grand Forks Herald reported that the suspect was arrested early Saturday morning on two counts of aggravated assault.

The incident happened Thursday night. Police said the victim, 32-year-old Anthony Sawyer of Winter Park, Fla., had been injured in a fight and was lying on the ground when the suspect drove into him.

Sawyer remains hospitalized. His condition is not known.
