JC to screen ‘Gasland’ Monday

The Jamestown College Convocation Committee will screen of the documentary “Gasland” at 7 p.m. on Monday in L2 of the Nafus Student Center. The event is open to the public.

In the film, filmmaker Josh Fox is asked to lease his land for drilling, so he sets out to examine the ramifications of the drilling technology known as hydraulic fracturing. A discussion led by Dr. Margi Coyle, assistant professor of biology, will follow.
