Jamestown Fire Department calls:
Feb. 1: 5:05 p.m., ready squad responded to 1505 Ninth Ave. NE (multi-family dwelling) to investigate if carbon monoxide was present. Firefighters checked for carbon monoxide and 106 parts per million were detected. Manager was advised to ventilate the building and have furnace inspected. Cause: furnace malfunction. Time out: 50 minutes.
Feb. 2: 4:03 p.m., ready squad responded to 523 Fourth Ave. SE (Trinity Lutheran Church) to investigate a fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke and fire but none was found. Cause: burnt popcorn. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 20 minutes.
Feb. 3: 3:10 a.m., ready squad responded to 421 18th St. NE (Ave Maria Village) to investigate a fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke and fire but none was found. Cause:accidental alarm activation. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 45 minutes.
Feb. 4: 9:23 a.m., the ready squad responded to 904 Fifth Ave. NE (Sanford Clinic) to investigate a fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke and fire but none was found. Cause: detector malfunction. Fire alarm was reset. Time out: 20 minutes.
Feb. 6: 3:38 p.m., ready squad responded to 501 19th St. NE (Ave Maria Village) to investigate a fire alarm activation. Firefighters checked for smoke and fire but none was found. Cause: accidental alarm activation. Time out: 15 minutes.
