The Jimmies hope to be playing for another month or so.

South Dakota Mines, meanwhile, is done, and the Hardrockers played with a Game 7 feel Sunday, but the Jimmies withstood it in a 72-58 victory.

"We knew they'd come in here and fight to the end, and they did," JC coach Greg Ulland said. "It wasn't easy, but it was a solid effort."

It was a more typical effort as well for the 22-5 Jimmies after Wednesday night's 48-point outing against Valley City State.

The Jimmies' 72-point total was the 11th time in 12 games since New Year's they've score more than 70 points.

"We got the shots we wanted. We got Bridget (Schuneman) a lot of touches," Ulland said. "I thought we executed pretty well."

Schuneman had a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds in less than 18 minutes on the floor.
