FARGO (AP) — A North Dakota man has been sentenced to more than nine years in prison on federal weapons charges.
Anthony Hayes Jr., of Hankinson, pleaded guilty in August to possession of firearms and ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of an unregistered firearm.
Authorities said the 30-year-old Hayes possessed four firearms and assorted ammunition. One of the weapons was stolen, along with a silencer.
Hayes previous was convicted of assault in Anoka County, Minn., in July 2006.
