Visitation will be Wednesday from noon to 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 5:30 PM at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Wishek, ND. Burial will be at the King Cemetery rural Lehr, ND.

Marvin was born on March 1, 1932 to Gustav and Hulda (Koenig) Fiechtner of Lehr, ND. He was baptized and later confirmed at King Lutheran Church rural Lehr. He grew up on the family farm and received his elementary education in the rural public schools. He completed his high school education while in the service. He served our Country as a helicopter mechanic with the 506th Transportation Company at Fort Benning, Georgia. Marvin married Mary Ann Rieger on December 30, 1956, at St. Andrews Lutheran Church rural Zeeland. Marvin and Mary Ann owned and operated a feeder cattle ranch in Lehr, ND. They retired in 1999 and moved their home to Wishek, ND. When not ranching, Marvin enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family and friends. Marvin was very involved in his church holding office as an Elder for many years. He was also involved with the Wildlife Club.
Marvin L. Fiechtner, 80, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at the Wishek Nursing Home after fighting a courageous battle with a lengthy illness.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, Wishek; his son, Keith (Gail), Mandan; his daughter, Rene (Les) Otto, Jamestown; his sister, Verdella Jackson, Vista, CA; his sister-in-law, Loretta Fiechtner, Zimmerman, MN; seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
