Alzheimer’s Support meeting canceled
The Jamestown Alzheimer’s Support group scheduled for Feb. 18 has been canceled. The support group will continue on at 2 p.m. March 18 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.
The Jamestown Alzheimer’s Support group scheduled for Feb. 18 has been canceled. The support group will continue on at 2 p.m. March 18 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown.
The Alzheimer’s Association is looking for anyone wanting a volunteer opportunity to become a support group facilitator. Facilitator training by the Alzheimer’s Association will be from 1 to 5 p.m. April 9 from at the Grand Forks Public Library, 2110 Library Circle, Grand Forks, and 1 to 5 p.m. April 10 at the Evergreen United Methodist Church, 1120 Evergreen Ct, Wahpeton, N.D. Contact Beth Olson, regional care consultant for the Alzheimer’s Association, at 952-0800 with any questions.
An “Understanding Communication and Challenging Behaviors” class is open to the public and professionals in Jamestown from 10:30 a.m. to noon Feb. 20 at the James River Senior and Community Center. It will be presented by Olson. There is no charge and no preregistration.
