Carrington’s Hannah Lipetzky will continue her track and field career close to home.

Lipetzky, a member of the Cardinals 400 and 800-meter relay state championship teams, has signed with Jamestown College.

She has career-best times of 61.8 in the 400, 27.2 in the 200 and 13.3 in the 100. She also plays basketball and volleyball at Carrington.

“Hannah has been a key cog in Carrington’s state championship run in girls track and field. Carrington has had such good relay teams that Hannah has probably not had as may repetitions in the open events as some good sprinters get,” said JC women’s coach Jim Clark. “Hannah is an athlete and a competitor. She has been an asset to coach (Greg) Hoeckle and the Cardinal athletic program and I look forward to her becoming a Jimmie.

“I am confident that her best days are ahead of her.”

She is the daughter of Tracy and Bob Lipetzky and plans to study elementary education at JC.
