A Minot woman was killed in a crash in Rolette County Wednesday morning, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The patrol said the 75-year-old woman was driving a 1997 Oldsmobile westbound on N.D. Highway 66 from Belcourt, N.D., to her home in Minot Wednesday. She was driving with compacted snow and ice on the road when at about 11:37 a.m. she entered the north ditch about 7 miles west of Rolette, N.D. She tried to correct the problem but slid across the road into the eastbound lane where she was struck by an eastbound 2006 Toyota Camry driven by a 58-year-old Rolette man. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch.

The Minot woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The Rolette man and his passenger, an 18-year-old woman from Rolette, were injured and were taken by ambulance to Rugby (N.D.) Hospital where they were treated and release. All three were wearing seat belts.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
