One injured in car-bus crash

One passenger was injured when a car struck a school bus operated by Dietrich Bus Service Wednesday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
The accident happened around 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of 16th Street and 5 1/2 Avenue Northeast.
Dustin Morehouse, 22, 2285 87th Ave. SE, was driving a 1999 Cadillac passenger car eastbound on 16th Street.
John Altof, 78, 510 11th Ave. SE, was driving a 2007 Thomas school bus northbound on 5 1/2 Avenue.
Morehouse failed to yield at an uncontrolled intersection, was unable to stop and struck Altof.
No one on the bus, which was carrying 38 passengers, was injured.
Morehouse’s passenger, Sheldon Harr, 20, Jamestown, suffered a non-incapacitating injury. He was wearing a seat belt. Altof and Morehouse were also wearing seat belts.
Morehouse was arrested for driving under suspension and cited for failure to yield at an intersection.
There was an estimated $5,000 in damage to the Cadillac and $500 to the bus.
