Road work to begin on Highway 26

Construction will begin Tuesday on N.D. Highway 26 at Ashtabula Bridge near Sibley, N.D. The project will consist of maintenance work to replace bridge abutments and resurface the bridge deck.

During construction:

* traffic will be reduced to one lane through the construction zone

* a stop bar, stop lights and warning sign will be in place to direct traffic

* there will be a 12-foot-width restriction through the construction zone

* speeds will be reduced through the construction zone

* motorists should expect minimal delays.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of October.
