Blue Jay skaters notch WDA honors

The Jamestown Blue Jay girls hockey team placed four athletes on the All-WDA team.
Senior forward/defenseman Amber Schaack, senior forward Steph Kamlitz, senior goalie Carrisa Finck and junior defenseman Brenna Pritchert were all named to the All-WDA team. It is the fourth consecutive honor for Schaack, who leads the state in goals scored with 39.
Kamlitz has posted 15 goals and 14 assists on the season, trailing only Schaack’s 49 total points for team lead in scoring. Pritchert has tallied 7 goals and 10 assist.
Finck has rang up a 91.5 save percentage this season in 21 games played. She’s allowed just 47 goals on 550 shots on net, and is also the only goalie in the state to have scored a goal this season.
The state girls hockey tournament begins Thursday in Grand Forks.
