The Jamestown Fire Department responded to two fire calls Sunday, with little or no damage at either, according to Jerry Kainz, deputy chief.

The first fire was reported around noon at Roseadele at 1505 Third St SE. Twenty-two fire fighters responded in two units.

“There was a cooking range fire … and when we got there that fire was out and they were ventilating the building,” Kainz said.

The other fire call happened around 7 p.m. and 27 firefighters responded for a person burning wet wood.

“We got there, everything was OK and we basically turned everyone around in route,” Kainz said.
