North Dakotans who enjoyed above-average temperatures over the weekend are bracing again for deep freeze.
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakotans who enjoyed above-average temperatures over the weekend are bracing again for deep freeze.
After hitting highs of 38 and 45 on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, Bismarck dropped to the teens Monday — and things are going to get colder.
National Weather Service meteorologist Ken Simosko says the low Tuesday morning was to be about 11 below with a daytime high of 3 degrees. On Wednesday, the high could creep up to 13.
Simosko tells the Bismarck Tribune that the frigid temps are going to last most of the week.
The weather caused travel chaos Monday in eastern North Dakota as strong winds and snowfall combined to cut visibility to a quarter-mile.
