Ostlie, Hart aid team titles

Former Jamestown High School all-state swimmers Erin Hart and Landon Ostlie recently completed strong efforts for St. Cloud State at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference meet.

Hart earned two individual titles and two more on relays at the meet held Feb. 10 in Rochester, Minn.

Hart won both the 100 backstroke (57.55 seconds) and 200 backstroke (2:05.70) to earn all-NSIC honors. Hart also swam the lead leg in the Huskies winning 400 medley relay (3:48.20) and the second leg on their first-place 400 free relay team, which set a new school record in a time of 3:28.81. Hart will swim in all four events at the national meet March 6-9 in Birmingham, Ala.

Ostlie placed sixth in both the 400 individual medley (4:15.44) and 200 backstroke (1:57.21). He was also eighth in the 100 backstroke (54.67).

Both teams also won NSIC team championships. The women totaled 1,724.5 points and the men accumulated 1,012 points.
