FCCU offers 10 scholarships

First Community Credit Union is offering scholarships to first-year college students from its membership.
Ten $1,000 scholarships will be given to students for the college or trade school of their choice. Two of the 10 scholarships will be given to applicants attending a two-year trade school, while the remaining eight will be given to either two- or four-year college attendees. Applicants, parents or guardians must be a member in good standing with FCCU for at least one year. Scholarship applications are available at all FCCU branches or on its website at www.myfccu.com. The application deadline is March 15 and completed applications can be dropped off at any FCCU branch location.
During the past 17 years, FCCU has given out more than $90,000 in scholarships. FCCU’s Board of Directors recognizes the importance of young people getting a good education and wants to encourage young people to do their best.
