Green named to Red Cross position

Judy Green, former Sanford executive, has been named the regional chief executive officer for the American Red Cross. The region serves North Dakota, South Dakota and 10 counties in western Minnesota. Green has been in the interim CEO role since November of 2012.

Green previously served as executive director of the YWCA and president of United Way in Cass/Clay counties. Most recently, she was vice president of Corporate Communications for Sanford Health.

“We are excited that Judy will be continuing on with the Red Cross, leading the new region covering North and South Dakota, and the western counties of Minnesota,” Red Cross Division Vice President Jim Hamilton said. “Judy has had a very diverse career, which brings experiences that will help us in many ways as we move forward.”

Green fills the role vacated by Randy Johnson, who previously served as regional CEO.
