BISMARCK (AP) — Sen. John Hoeven of North Dakota delivered the weekly Republican address Saturday, calling for President Barack Obama to approve the Keystone XL oil pipeline.
Hoeven, responding to Obama’s weekly radio and Internet address, said the right way to address the deficit and debt and get past the sequester is by creating jobs.
He used the TransCanada pipeline as an example.
The proposed $7 billion pipeline would carry Canadian crude to the Gulf Coast, and the company has proposed connecting it to the Bakken oil field in Montana and North Dakota.
