Hoge signs with JC baseball team

Another Hoge is coming to Jamestown College., albeit to play a different sport.

Michael Hoge, brother of JC basketball standout Mark Hoge, has signed with the Jimmie baseball team.

Hoge, a 2012 graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School in Minnesota, hit .442 in 19 games to earn all Mid-State All-Conference honors. Hoge hits and throws right and is versatile, capable of catching and playing outfield. He’s currently playing at Central Lakes Community College in Brainerd, Minn., and will have three years of eligibility at JC.

“We’re excited that Michael has decided to join the Jimmie baseball program,” JC coach Tom Hager said. “We feel like he has the chance to contribute for us down the road. We’re looking forward to working with him in the future.”

He is the son of Paul and Barb Hoge and plans to study business at JC.
