Jaws swim well at Winter Blast
The Jamestown Jaws youth swim team placed second at the Jamestown Winter Blast on Saturday at the JHS pool. The Jaws combined for eight first-place performances, 19 seconds and 15 thirds. Their total of 558 points was second to only the West Fargo Flyers and its 1,283 points in the 15-team meet.

First-place winners were Cruz Kaiser (25 freestyle), Lamae Turk-Walton (100 butterfly, 50 fly, 200 free) and Tyler Bjorgaard (50 fly).
The Jaws’ 7-8 free relay also placed first as did the 7-8 medley relay.
Runner-up finishers were Chea Baugh (20 free, 25 back, 50 free), Madisen Prasek (100 fly), Turk-Walton (100 IM, 50 back, 100 back), Max Fronk (25 fly), Jessica Ibes (100 back), Tyler Bjorgaard (100 back, 100 breaststroke) and Malik Krahler (500 free).
Second-place relay teams were 7-8 free relay; 11-12 200 free relay and mixed 9-10 200 free relay.
Third-place finishers were Katie Falk (25 free, 50 breaststroke), Turk-Walton (100 free), Ryder Koch (50 breaststroke), Fronk (100 IM, 50 fly), Prasek (200 breaststroke), Baugh (50 back, 25 breaststroke), Prasek (100 back, 100 breaststroke), Tia McMillan (50 free) and Baugh (50 fly).
The 11-12 medley ‘B’ relay placed third as did the 200 medley relay team.
