Damage reported in two-car crash

An estimated $5,000 in damage was reported in a two-vehicle crash Thursday, according to the Jamestown Police Department. The accident happened at 1:20 p.m. on a private drive between 17th Avenue and Eighth Avenue Southwest. The private road is across the street from Second Street Southwest.

An estimated $5,000 in damage was reported in a two-vehicle crash Thursday, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

The accident happened at 1:20 p.m. on a private drive between 17th Avenue and Eighth Avenue Southwest. The private road is across the street from Second Street Southwest.

Lisa Hoffner, 49, 223 17th Ave. SW, was driving a 2004 Ford eastbound on the private road.

Casey Trzpuc, 34, 218 Third Ave. SW, was driving a 2004 General Motors westbound on the private road.

Hoffner struck Trzpuc when she was negotiating a curve on the private road, according to the accident report. The road was plowed, but the road surface was covered with compacted snow and ice.

No injuries were reported. Hoffner was not wearing a seat belt; Trzpuc was wearing a seat belt.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 to the Ford and $2,000 to the General Motors according to the police.

No citations were issued.
