Thirty-two members of the Jamestown Regional Medical Center Auxiliary met for the February meeting at JRMC with President Carolyn Exner presiding.
The auxiliary, celebrating its 40th anniversary, was organized primarily to initiate the Telecare program. Starting with 12 members, they made daily phone calls to individuals ensuring their care and well-being.
Trisha Jungels, home health and hospice manager and organizational excellence coordinator, presented the program “Standards of Behavior for JRMC.” This was adapted from the flywheel concept originated by Quint Studer. The Standards of Behavior help align employees, physicians and volunteers to create a culture for patients to receive care, employees to work and physicians to practice.
The business meeting followed including service chair reports and old and new business. The auxiliary is anticipating hosting a jewelry sale in late April and the annual plant sale in May.
The auxiliary meets at 1:45 p.m. the first Monday of each month at JRMC in the lower level conference room ABC. Interested parties are encouraged to attend as guests.
