Kevin and Rita Kubat volunteered to bring chili to serve at the Spiritwood Inn. Hamburgers were also going to be served for the event. Mike Gee had posters and tickets printed for the Applebee’s fundraiser. Attending members were asked to distribute the posters and to get tickets to as many members as possible to sell. In other business, prices and reservations were discussed for the Minnesota getaway Feb. 15-17, and the groomer is going to need a new storage facility for the summer. The meeting was concluded.
In other news, a notice was emailed to all members to use caution on the trail just south of Montpelier. A resident has new horses there. One was recently spooked and ran through the fence, injuring its leg. The trail will be resigned to move sled traffic to the opposite side of the road, away from the fence line.
The next meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday at Tapps to sign up volunteers for the Applebee’s fundraiser March 2 and Family Day March 3.
