The Farm Journal Wheat College next week in Jamestown will give training on the fundamentals for high yields in wheat.
The course begins at 8 a.m. March 6 in the Jamestown Civic Center, Exchequer Room, 212 Third Ave. NE, and will last the rest of the day.
Farm Journal Associate Field Agronomist Missy Bauer and high-yield wheat expert Phil Needham will lead this one-day program that provides growers with tips for better yielding wheat that they can take straight to the field.
Topics to be discussed include:
* prioritizing money spent on a wheat crop.
* eliminating the weak links to increase yield potential.
* effective nitrogen management.
* wheat disease.
