Blue Jay girls hold No. 4 spot in ‘A’ poll

Winners of eight straight, the Blue Jays (12-3 West Region, 14-4 overall) wrap up the regular season tonight when they host Dickinson at 5:45 p.m. at the JHS gym. The Blue Jays have already sewn up the No. 2 seed in next week’s West Region tournament at the Bismarck Civic Center. They have not lost since late January.
Fargo Shanley (17-1) remains at No. 1, while West Region top seed Bismarck Century (16-2) got two first-place votes and is ranked second. The Blue Jays beat the Patriots 47-46 Feb. 19 here.
In the boys poll Bismarck St. Mary’s (16-2) is up to No. 2 behind only Grand Forks Red River, which got all nine first-place votes.
