Nathan Schulte of Jamestown is one of three new Jimmie football recruits.
Joining Schulte are Dylan Klatt of Crookston, Minn., and Keith Moorfield Jr., of Watts, Calif.
Schulte, a 6-foot, 240-pound D-Lineman from Jamestown, recorded 13 tackles and two fumble recoveries this past season for the Blue Jays. He is the son of Kevin and Marlene Schulte and plans to study exercise science.
“Nathan is a tremendous young man who is a great fit for our institution and our program,” said JC football coach Shawn Frank. “He enjoys playing the game of football and is very excited to be a part of our program.”
Klatt, a 6-2, 180-pound quarterback, earned Section 8 honorable mention honors, throwing for 10 touchdowns last season. He is the son of Dylane and Jeanne Klatt.
“Dylan is an athletic quarterback who can make all the throws,” Frank said. “He loves to compete and acquitted himself very well when we had him on the board, which shows great football IQ. We are excited to have him as the next piece to our recruiting puzzle.”
Moorfield, a 6-foot, 195-pound outside linebacker, earned all-CBL honors after registering 105 tackles last season at A.B. Miller High School. A CBL scholar athlete, he is the son of Keith and Buffy Moorfield.
“Keith displays tremendous athleticism, which translates well to him playing outside linebacker in our defense,” Frank said. “We welcome Keith and his family to our program. He is a fine young man and we look forward to having him at Jamestown College.”
