JC filmmakers holding open auditions in Fargo

Jamestown College seniors Matthew Nies and Jessee Boyle will hold auditions for their short film “Unheard Vision” at the Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre, 333 Fourth St. South, from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The original screenplay by Nies tells the story of a mute Congo war vet, whose grandson comes to live with him after his parents die.
“It’s a powerful message about forgiveness and not allowing unfortunate circumstances to handicap you,” Boyle, film director said.
Castings include nine to 10 males and five to six females. While all types of actors are welcome, specifically needed are the following: 60 to 70 year-old Caucasian male, 15 to 17 year old boy, 50 to 60 year-old female, 5 to 7 year old girl, four dark-skinned males from 20 to 30 years-old.
“Unheard Vision” is a student film and is under the auspices of Jamestown College. The production will be in compliance with a SAG-AFTRA agreement, with deferred salaries. The film will be entered into numerous film festivals this summer. Shooting will take place March 9, 10, 16, 30, and 31 at locations to be determined.
