Two men broke into the Valley City American Legion Hall and fled with an undetermined amount of money, according to a press release from Fred Thompson, chief of the Valley City Police Department.
In the late morning hours of Thursday, two male suspects entered the Legion Hall, located the safe, forced it open and apparently fled the building through the back door.
One suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing camouflaged military pants with cargo pockets, a dark coat with a hood and black boots.
The other suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, last seen wearing blue-jean type pants, a dark or black zipper coat or sweatshirt, a black stocking cap and black boots.
While authorities believe the suspects entered or foot, it is possible that someone saw them before or after the burglary. Anyone with information is asked to call the Valley City Police Department at 701-845-3110.
