MILAN (AP) — Elena Radionova became the third straight Russian to win the women's title at the World Junior Figure Skating Championships on Saturday, leading a sweep of the podium for the host nation of next year's Olympics.

Radionova, who also won the junior Grand Prix Final title, jumped from fifth after the short program. Her score of 169.71 points was four better than Julia Lipnitskaia, last year's champion. Anna Pogorilaya was third.

American Samantha Cesario, the leader after the short, dropped to fourth. Courtney Hicks was fifth.

It was the second medals sweep of the day, with Joshua Farris, Jason Brown and Shotaro Omori giving the Americans their first 1-2-3 finish in the men's event. Russia and the United States split the four titles at junior worlds, and each country won five medals.
