Those attending are asked to bring one empty cardboard carton (cereal, toothpaste, cake mix, etc.) as part of a planned program. Bring any correspondence you might want to share from members who are traveling, wintering in warm places or have moved and no longer part of the local Red Hat Chapter.

In December 26 Jewels met at the Arts Center for a Christmas buffet prepared and served by Emma Rosie’s Home Cookin’. The champagne table was manned by Mike Tarpinian who served the Jewels on their arrival. Loretta Aipperspach regaled the group with tales of her birthday month with the traveling doll Carmen. She took her to plays, basketball games and church and was not sure if Carmen was impressed with all those activities or not. Guests Caroline Cichos and Pearl Silzly were introduced.

The Jewels moved to the lobby for a Christmas carol sing along with guest Silzly at the piano. Carmen was handed over to Lois Knudson for her December birthday and Knudson has since reported of her month with Carmen accompanying her to Ave Maria Village and sitting out other activities at home.
