United Sportsmen to meet Thursday

The United Sportsmen Jamestown Chapter will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Gladstone Inn & Suites. All sportsmen and sportswomen are welcome.

The clubs second Hunter Education Class with 29 members was completed on Feb. 28. Appreciation was expressed to all of the instructors who participated. The next class will be in January 2014.

The 27th annual banquet and auction was held Feb. 22 at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Those who participated in making the banquet successful were acknowledged.

The next big club event will be a Youth Fun Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 4 at eh Pipestem Rifle Range. The club will be responsible for the firearms activities and other clubs will have other activities. Lunch will be served.
