Unit presents flag to Gussner

Myrna Ronholm reported that the flag acquired by Nellie Degan that was flown over the state Capitol was presented to Gussner Elementary School this past week by Ronholm, Degen and Unit President Dorothy Speidel.
The Girl State chairman and co-chairman will be mailing letters to the junior girls at Jamestown High School with information regarding the dates, etc. This year’s session is June 9 -14, with graduation on the 14th at 1:45 p.m. The session will again be held at University of North Dakota. Application will be available at the high school, online at ndgirlstate@gmail.com or contact Miska at 252-1794 and Irene Finck at 252-0173. Meetings will be set up with parents and students at a later date.
The unit is planning a fundraiser bake sale March 23 from 9 a.m. until out of items to sell. ALA members are asked to bring baked items to the Kmart area by 8 a.m.
