JPD: Sex offender changes address
The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender who has changed addresses in Jamestown. Police said David Lynn Meador, 57, is living at 403 First Ave. N #2. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches, and weighing 154 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a convicted sex offender who has changed addresses in Jamestown.
Police said David Lynn Meador, 57, is living at 403 First Ave. N #2. He is described as a white male, 5 feet 11 inches, and weighing 154 pounds. He has hazel eyes and brown hair. He drives a red 1991 Dodge Dakota pickup with North Dakota license HZC886.
Meador has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee, Office of the Attorney General.
He was convicted of possession of matter portraying sex by minor on Jan. 13, 2003, in Butler County (Kentucky) District Court. His sentence for the conviction is unknown.
Meador was also convicted of second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse and second-degree sodomy on Oct. 31, 1994, in Warren County (Kentucky) District Court.
He is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is intended for public safety and not to increase fear in the community. The information should also not be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Meador. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten Meador or his family, landlord or employer will be turned over for prosecution.
