Repairs nearly done at train depot

Amtrak said repair work at its depot in Minot is slated for completion soon.

MINOT (AP) — Amtrak said repair work at its depot in Minot is slated for completion soon.

Passenger service was interrupted for five months in 2011 in Minot due to Souris River flooding. The depot and boarding platform were damaged by the high water.

Amtrak spokesman Mark Magliari told the Minot Daily News that the repair work should be done by late April.

Amtrak had estimated the repair costs to be about $200,000.
