Elks Camp Grassick sets summer sessions

Elks Camp Grassick near Dawson, N.D., for North Dakota Elks summer camp for children and adults with various disabilities and special needs, now has applications available for its summer sessions.
A two-week camping session for students age 7-17 will start on June 9 and run through June 21. This session is geared toward students with learning disabilities and individuals with special needs who could benefit from a positive experience in their lives with their peers.
A one-week camping session with the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown will be held from Jun 23 through June 28.
A three-week therapy camp will be held from July 7 through July 26. Speech and language services, occupational therapy, and reading instructions will be offered to children age 7-15 during this camping session.
A one-week “Transitional Camp” for older students or young adults age 17-20 will be conducted this year from July 28 through Aug. 2. This session will help older adolescents with transition issues such as graduating from high school and going onto independent living situations and possibly their first job.
A recreational camping session for adults with various disabilities is scheduled for Aug. 6 to Aug. 10 followed by the North Dakota Association Of the Blind’s Summer Camping Session for adults who are visually impaired or blind. Aug. 11 to Aug. 18.
